Growing the Urban Forestry Community -  presented by Ruth Williams, Consulting Arborist, Community Forest Solutions

Climbing and Rigging - presented by Robert Bundy, Arborist Robert Bundy LLC, Will Koomjian, Independent Arborist, Emergent Treeworks, Aneesa Winn, Owner/operator, Tree Chic LLC.                   Modern climbing arborists must be able to efficiently access branch tips, find good work positioning, and make quality pruning cuts, all while avoiding damage to interior growth. Executing quality pruning on large trees is physically and technically demanding work, and learning good strategies beforehand can make a huge difference. In this talk we’ll discuss gear and techniques for climbing and rigging in large tree pruning projects.  We’ll also cover how to assess other climbers’ skills and provide life-saving feedback.

Guided Tree Walks - Regional tree experts will guide small groups on campus tree tours.
